Chlorosis and the mistake of crushing stone in crop fields

We recently published a short post on the disadvantages and advantages of stoning or shredding.

Today we will talk about chlorosis and one of the reasons that generates it.

If we crush the stones in a soil, depending on the type of existing and dominant stone, let's say for example that it is limestone, it will produce chlorosis in the plant, a process that ends up killing the plant.

But what is Chlorosis?

Chlorosis is the yellowing of leaf tissue caused by a lack of chlorophyll. Possible causes of chlorosis are insufficient drainage, damaged roots, compacted roots, high alkalinity and plant nutritional deficiencies. ... Plants need iron to produce chlorophyll.

Let's talk about a practical case: We have the experience of a customer in Albacete who decided to crush the stones of his farm where he has planted almond trees, the result was disastrous, chlorosis caused him to lose many trees as well as their production.

To date, he has now de-stoned his land and the result is completely opposite to the previous one, increasing the production and the quality of the land.

"Never again will a shredder enter my farm", the customer told us when he told us about his case.
