Soil retains more water
Perhaps the most important benefit of loosening the soil.
You should think of the soil as a big sponge to hold water.
If you have a thin sponge it will absorb a little water, a thick one will hold more. Now if you have a sponge with a lot of stones, it will hold less water, so you will have to water more often or the crop will suffer.
Remove all stones
With our machines you can remove all stones from 16 mm up to 1.5 meters in diameter. All in a single pass.
Reduced wear and tear on machinery
As all the stone mass has been removed, the soil is now less abrasive and tillage or plowing will not be affected by wear and tear. Reduced costs for spare parts and machinery.
Better germination
Experience in clearing sugarcane fields has shown that sugarcane poles that are in direct contact with the soil germinate much better and earlier than those with stones in between.
Preventing top layer stones
When it rains or the field is worked, the stone tends to come to the surface, making it more difficult to work the soil. It is important to remove as much stone mass as possible, especially for sugarcane.
